How often should it be charged. Are there any special requirements for maintenance?

I assume you own just one and are not working at a golf course. The first thing you should do is contact EZ-Go for a maintenance manual. It describes everything you need to do in the way of regular and periodic maintenance. You should leave the cart plugged into the charger whenever you are not using it. When it is fully charged, it will automatically shut off, so you don't have to worry about overcharging. Depending on the age of the batteries, a cart will go about 36 holes, maybe a little more or a little less. As for regular maintenance, with an electric cart the main thing is to make sure the batteries have enough water and that the battery terminals are free of corrosion (clean with a baking soda and water mixer).
