I want to take wooden double pointed needles to knit some socks on the plane. Will I be able to?

Usually not but since some airlines have different baggage rules for different airports, you may check directly with El-Al. Most airlines nowadays do not allow sharp and pointed objects.

Yes! My mom just went through this and she was allowed to knit. She even bought plastic crochet hooks but they told her this wasn't necessary. Soo just pack it in your carry on and you'll be fine.
