I'm way too nice to people and I hate to argue. I would just do anything to stay away of arguing. I always let go of situations for the sake of another person even though they might hurt me. But I found out that sometimes I get a great deal of disrespect no matter how nice I'm being to people. Does anyone know a way to be right with people? Or how to be in a relationship?

You get respect by standing up for yourself. By not agreeing or letting things go. You get respect by being arrogant.
Or you can get respect by being smart.
I do both.

The best way to get respect, is to show respect for others. It's OK to disagree, but respect the right of someone to think or believe differently than you. Sounds like you're on the right track, so just keep up the good work. How to be in a relationship is a whole different matter; but being respectful of that other person is very important.

Well, you have to stand up for yourself and not let people run you over at the same time respect others. For instance if you are having a conversation with someone and that person says some disrespectful thing to you tell him I do not like what you said I am not this way, if you want to talk to me you will have to talk to me right, and stand there! Instead of just agreeing with him/her and accepting it, also called respecting yourself! You can do it!

Respect must start from within yourself. It's called, (oh well) Self-Respect. Once you get to know "WHO" you are? You'll be able to take a stand on what you are to do with your lIfe. Being all wishy-washy. is gonna have people, tuggin at you to go which ever way, THEY want you to. But you'll already know where you're at. And they'll have to leave you be. dont be a doormat people will take advantage of you real quick just dont go around people that want to argue youll save yourself a headache . stick to your beliefs and dont let anyone change you find nice people stay away from toxic situations and say no sometimes do what you want to do cause chances are those people wont be around when you need them.love yourself so you can love someone else,

you are just like me. but i learned that even if people don't notice how nice i am to them, i would keep being nice to them. they will eventually realize your kindness. but yes, the sad thing is, some people use this as an advantage. when they disrespect you, though, you have to stand up for yourself. you have the right to be respected by everyone. show them that you are nice to everyone, but if you are treated unfairly, you won't just let it go. you are a human being with feelings as well. don't let anyone do that to you. to answer your question, you can't ask others to respect you if you don't respect yourself. you have to stand up for yourself if you think you are being disrespected. i hope i helped=)

you have to give respect to get it. you don't have to let things go or avoid arguments to get respect. the best way is to be confident in everything you do and in due time people will start to look up to you with respect. when you are too passive people tend to think of you as a doormat.

You can't please all the people all the time. Making yourself a doormat or a stooge won't gain you respect either. You want to get respect? Give respect,be genuinely interested in people, be nice and be yourself.

u seem like a sweet person...dont change much...but stop being too naive...let people know their limits...if situation demands,verbally...otherwise body language and facial expressions does the trick better...and remember to keep up ure humour sense always...ull be fine
