I went to MEPS, swore in and recieved my basic training date for June 26. A week later they found a misdemeanor charge on my background check. What kind of discharge would I recieve? and would I still be elegible to enlist in the Army with that discharge?

Hey it's the same guy asking the same question Again!!!!!!!!! Ok, you are not in the military, at thus rate you are not going to be. So you aren't gettin discharged from anything, only people in the military get discharged. They aren't going to send you to boot camp with this thing going on. If you don't get this fixed before your June shipping date to boot camp, you will be kicked out of the DEP program and this in turn will keep you from enlisting in any military service for a minimum of 6 months. Before you ask, again, you are in the computer system with the Department of Defence that will have your name flagged so you won't be able to sneak over to the Army or go to a different recruiting district or MEPS to try to join.

you wont get a discharge because you never graduated training and never became a sailor. People washed out of Army basic when I went through and all they went through was a "chapter" process. Its not a discharge but it still gets you out of the military. The Army might take you but you will need a waiver if you get the green light.

You never actually joined. You will get no discharge, but they will have you on file. You're going to have to do some explaining to get that waivered. See an attorney, perhaps you can make up some plausible story about believing that it was a juvenile matter that was sealed and would be as if it never happened once you turned eighteen. Might work if they're desperate enough.
