I'm a 19 yr old full time college student. I have a part-time job and of course my mom works full-time. Credit isn't an issue on either side.

I always thought I had to have a full-time job before being approved for a auto loan

I know I'm responsible for making the payments and if I don't they fall on her. my question is: Can I get a auto loan with a part-time job IF my co-signer works full-time

Guess I'll say something contrary to everyone else.

The question is will she?

Does your mom really want to do this or are you forcing her hand?

In all honesty, you shouldn't even be asking this question if (1) your mother actually had a say-so and (2) you actually went to a dealership to find out.

So therefore, yes she could. Should she, since you are asking questions without knowing the implications ... probably not.

Well as long as you know that when you default on the loan she has to pay for it and it will reflect on her credit rating too. But sometimes it makes it easier to get a loan for a teen.

Your Mother can co-sign for a monkey if the monkey meets the minimum requirements for credit.

Yes she can but make sure you keep up the payments or they'll be knocking on your mum's door.

yes, she can. However if your credit is good already, then no need to have your mother cosign for you.
