B.Eng is a Batchelor of Engineering undergraduate degree which can be awarded as an Honours degree (B.Eng (Hons.)) or an ordinary degree without honours, depending on the grade passed. This is widely recognised worldwide by industry employers and professional institutions as meeting the educational requirements to gain Chartered Engineer status, after further training and experience elements are met.

BTech is also a degree which is short for Batchelor of Technology. The degree is awarded to those who have undertaken a Bachelor of Science degree program supplemented by either occupational placements (e.g., supervised practica or internships) or practice-based classroom courses. Due to the supplemental requirements, the degree normally takes at least four years.
Different countries have different criteria for this award and because of this does not have the wider recognition of B.eng. You would need to be careful if planning to study a course offering this so as to ensure it was recognised by professional institutions to gain Chartered Engineer (C.Eng) status.

I would strongly recommend that you contact the appropriate engineering institution for the field of engineering studied to determine if any BTech course is accredited by them for the educational establishment it is offered at. Falure to do may cause problems with employers or other post graduate educational establishments if you were to study any further to Masters or PhD.

It should not be confused with BTEC which referes to The Business & Technology Education Council (BTEC) in the UK which until 1996 and offered sub degree higher education awards mainly through Polytechnics at the time of a more practical focus than undergraduate degrees. They were inbetween A-Levels and undergraduate degrees at the highest BTEC qualification of Higher National Diploma (HND).

BEng is more theory, BTech is more hands on.

BEng is a tougher curriculum.
