I think it is a good idea. Trackers are very good at what they do. I had a roomate who went to a survivalist camp. The instructor was a Native American tracker. Some of the stories my roomate told me would amaze you. But I do think it will be tough and who knows if they will find him. I think we should try everything we can to find him. I wish we would of done more a lot sooner though.

I would guess, and this is just a guess, that these Shadow Wolves may be better at locating Bin-Laden than the average soldier. They will be hampered however by the unfamilair terrain and the fact that local groups will be stationed to defend any position that Bin-Laden and his aides may be in. This is not merely a track and capture mission. It is a fair bet that Bin-Laden is enclaved among some very rugged and well trained fighters.

Certainly -- this is their area of expertise. We already have the best military in the world and this can only help.

As Gunny mentioned the Code Talkers were hugely succesful in WWII (nobody ever broke the Navajo code) so why not now? Especially if it saves lives in the long run.

Yea! What ever works! We used Code Talkers during WWII. Why not trackers now?

Whatever it takes.

I assume by "Native Americans" you mean descendants of the people would occupied the land when the first Europeans arrived.

Actually...I keep thinking why not drop some of our worst criminals off over there, especially the snipers...they think they are such a good shot then we'll put them to some kind of use for the good of their country. Someone gets him or other top terrorists, then they get to come back, if not well then good ridden.
