It would not be prudent to club Endeavour with the others in the entry level SUV simply on the cost parameter.
Tavera-
Plus-Best Milage, No turbo lag
Minus- Terrible pickup, Looks(a matter of personal Choice)
Safari-
Plus- Space, Traveling Comfort, Looks
Minus- Under Powered, Bad drive, Milage
Scorpio-
Plus- Power, Driving Comfort, Cost
Minus- Uncomfortable back seat
PS- I bought a Scorpio 2.6 DX 2 years back after a detailed study.

First thing that i wud tell u is that tavera and safari cannot be compared to endeavour at all . u did not mention in what respect do u wanna compare .
SAFARI--
it is a multi-utility vehicle that has a Direct Injection COmmon Rail engine . it is fantastically powered . it has good comfortable seating and the aircon is also nice . and also don't forget that it is spacious. it also has good cruising ability . But it is not a car with great handling and mileage . Braking is a matter of concern and also there are some quality probems associated with it .
TAVERA--
Tavera is also a multi utility vehicle . it is extremely spacious ,especially in the middle row .it is well built and easy to drive ride and handling is impressive and it's mileage is best in class . but it lacks an SUV appeal .
ENDEAVOUR
it is extremely extremely extremely extremely extremely spacious . it is practical also due to it's tough build and a obust engine . handling is quite good but the ride is a bit bumpy .

now a days i think u have 2 option safari or Scorpio both having great look,engine,interiors and market value, but one thing is sure dat if v compare both SUV then by maintaining them same way Scorpio last long with less maintains expence and is a product of Mahindra so engine part is the best which gives great feeling. now choice is yrs.

it depends upon wat do u want from d jeep but from ur question i think u want a jeep dats gud at power, speed and accleration.

Plus - Looks (matter of personnel choice), Luxury (According to its segement), good at Power, Good Mileage, Driving Comfort
Minus - Uncomfortable Backseat
Endeavour - It has a 2499cc 4 cyl in-line,SOHC, 16V engine which produces 111 bhp. It has broad n gud tyres (but not broader and better than the one Of Safari)
Plus - Comfortable, Good Driving, Luxury (but interiours have cheep looking plastic), Mileage

I think Scorpio wud hav been d best n d ultimate vehicle in India if its Back Seat good be made little comfortable and if its powr cud hav been increazd a lil bit (from 2600 cc to 3000cc)
or Tavera cud hav also don d job if its pick-up n powr wud hav got beter
evn endevour cud do d job if its power is increased n looks r mad bettr
Saffari cud also do d job if its engine gets turbocharged wich wud hav made betr its mileage, pickup and power n if its handling cud be mad bettr
i think d best wud be 2 tak d interiors of Tavera, Engine of Saffari (Turbo-charged) and outtr body of Scorpio n d suspension system, etc. of Endeavour and d tyres of Saffari
