As a priest of Aten Moses was one of the first monotheists in Egypt. When his pharoah was replaced and polytheism returned to Egypt, Moses brought the Jews together and taught them monotheism, organizing them into a powerful army. Instead of the sun god, however, Jews chose one of their other gods -- Yahweh (god of storms and fire) -- to be their particular deity. Until that time Yahweh had been only one in a hierarchy of gods worshiped by the Jews.

Moses(pbuh) did not ever choose what was preordained for him. It was and still is all in the hands of allah. GOD chose him to be HIS messenger and prophet. To follow all that HE commanded and lead the children of israel(pbuh) from the bonded slavery of the pharaohs by the grace of allah. Moses(pbuh) never chose his path, that was chosen by allah. Whom have taken him as an intimate freind and spoke to without any intecessors. Moses(pbuh) is the prophet that all prophets of the old have visited as it is the very truth that he was there when muhammad(pbuh) had his night accention into the mighty 7 heavens of allah and then to ilah HIMSELF where he gave muhammad(pbuh) instructiions for prayers. Moses(pbuh) was righ there and asked muhammad(pbuh) to go back to allah and ask if the number of prayers be lessened. Allah finally gave the number of 5. It is said in islam, that on the day of resurection, it will be as if moses(pbuh) had never moved. He may be famous because he is the one whom the 10 commandments were revealed to. TRUE laws for mankind. PEACE!

He was known as "by far the meekest of all the men who were upon the surface of the ground," and he strove to conserve that good quality. (Numbers 12:3) As the Israelites trekked through the wilderness, they often acted unreasonably and showed disrespect for God and his representatives. Through it all, Moses humbly looked for divine direction.—Numbers 16:12-14, 28-30.

Mohammed needed for his new religion to have a history. Otherwise, it would just be a new religion that no one would pay much attention to. So he incorporated the people from the Bible. He couldn't let them just be who they were in the Bible, because they contradicted his message. So he said that they were really prophets, just like him, and that whatever contradicted his message was just something that was corrupted by men.

Start reading Exodus 2 (in the Bible) and keep going- it's very interesting. He did so many things. You'll be amazed! If you don't have a Bible you can get 1 at the dollar store.
