It's been 5 days since I was supposed to know...I was going to send them an email tonight asking for a little more information about when the decision is going to be made, but I don't want to seem pushy. They only accept 8 students every other year, and I seem to be choice #9 and someone dropped out.

The suspense is killing me!

Go ahead and ask! That would indicate your interest and also give you some more information, which would lessen your anxiety.

Aloha from Down Unda!

Your information on the dropout should be enough ammo to inquire! Don't stress yourself. Would it be points against you being too complacent? Or points for you to express some anxious interest?

Best wishes -

I would send a follow up "thank you for the interview" letter. I would not send email...a letter adds a personal touch. In your thank you letter, you can allude to the fact that you are waiting for a response and hope to receive word from them soon.

I don't think you have anything to lose by asking -especially as the date of disclosure has passed.
You would only serve you cause badly if you were contacting them before the quoted deadline.
Go on-I dare you and the very best of luck !!!
