First, the oldest religion in the world is irrelevant and second, Christ didn't found any religion.

The oldest relationship in eternity is the key to all life. God is eternal and He is the one that had a relationship with Adam and Eve and continues to be available to anyone that seeks Him even today.

Christ didn't found any religion. He came to us so that we could come to understand God's love for us and to build a relationship with Him. While the term Christianity is an umbrella for many denominations that claim alegience to Christ, the various practices, teachings and beliefs are of no use if the people engaged in them do not have a relationship with Christ. An easy way to look at this is:

Going to church does make you a Christian anymore
that going to a garage makes you a mechanic.

Seek the Christ, not religion, and He will change your life and eternity.

Christianity is the oldest. It dates back to when the world began. It was began by God, but founded and brought to its fullness by Jesus Christ.

Although there are other religions that date back around that time. The oldest religion would be by the one who created all things and that is the belief in God (the ONE TRUE God) and the Trinity. THe Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. which would go to say Christianity.

The oldest religion in the world is that of the Paleolithic era, in which people worshipped things of nature, the sun and the moon. It was not organized religion until the formation of civilization, in which people were brought together by like beliefs and formed more organized religions.
The Church formed by Christ is the Catholic Church, even though not perfect in its history, has changed to the Church it is today, more accepting than before known.
So since the beginning of time there has been some sort of knowledge that there is a God, and the Church has been divideed up to fit most peoples needs.

It would be difficult to pinpoint the oldest religion in the world, but there is archaeological evidence that Neandertals buried their dead with grave goods and some degree of ceremony, which indicates some notion of an afterlife, and thus "religion" of a sort.

Originally, it was belief in one Almighty God. The the people that believed in more than 1 god came around. Then we have all kinds of Mythology and Theology, and we have Jews, and Pagans. Then we have christians, and later muslims.

Christ founded the christian religion which should have replaced the Jewish religion, but when the Jews saw that Jesus was not going to make them powerful again, they killed him. Constantine founded the Catholic religion.

P.S. Catholics are not christian, and several protestant groups either. They just don't "cut the mustard".

i assume its hinduism being that they still pray to stones and idols. but according to the bible, from the time of adam and eve, it was just mainly God the Father, the Son n the Holy Spirit. Jesus isnt the founder of anything. If anything else, he came to reestablish the relationship between men and God, and concised the 10 commandments into 2. Its men who lost their faith in Him, not the other way.
