There would be less faint hearted compromising Christians who wavered in their beliefs because of supposed "proofs" offered by science that contradict the beginning of the Bible.
There would be more people who had yet to be saved who could be approached on the basis of having to give an account to the Creator as opposed to being approached on the basis of how they could enjoy true freedom and enjoy abundant life here on earth now.
John 8:34 Jesus answered them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone who commits sin is a slave to sin.
John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.

Einstein wrote an article for Nature entitled "Science and Religion" which included the poignant " ...science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind". Go figure. Nevertheless i relate this to the dark age in Europe where religion is being used as means of oppresion by the ruler of the land. In Islam the prophet said 'find knowledge even to the final moment of life'(roughly translated), so i don't agree that question relevant with islam. We see the act of finding knowledge and practising it in our life as an obligation 'fardu kifayah'. So in islam, science and religion goes hand to hand as a way of life.

Science and religion are both human inventions. Religion is an epistemology that defines knowledge and truth in other-worldly terms, based on mythological beliefs, fictionalized quasi-historic beings and events, and frequently involving the worship of imaginary supernatural creatures that live in make-believe worlds.
Science maintains that the universe can be studied and understood in terms of natural laws and principles that can be objectively determined based on the examination of empirical evidence. Science is based on the assumption that objective human knowledge (as distinct from belief) is possible.

Religion is religion, a belief. It gives the answer to the existence of things.
Science is science, a study. It seeks the answer to the existence of things.
Evolve? Evolution is a theory thru science [study] created by man in his process to seek answers. It has yet to be proven.

i hate science. it thinks its all knowing if i want answers ill just ask God. geesh thats why scientists are nerds. theyre so needy i want this i want to find the meaning of our existence cmon just look at yourself in the mirror your a nerd and noone like u i dont like scientists. how dare they say my religion is rubbish if i want to say gravity doesnt exist thats my right. and that i see ghosts thats my right too. but to think about i need to visit the doctos more. and stop watching those Japanese anime that give me seizures. if you take the e in religion and put in science you have a perfect match. what the heck does that have to do with anything. dude, it has to do with everything. theyre parralles and they compliment each other. how hard is that. sorry i didnt know. lol

Mine is a new religion, so I don't have a clue. Wicca only started about 80 years ago. But then, Wicca doesn't deny science and promotes questions, education, and learning.

I think there may be a lot of Atheists who would "resemble that remark" (resent that remark).
I am wondering what you really mean by this question and from what perspective you are viewing this.
That is do you believe that religions came from science?

There would be no sciences if it wasn't for religion. Christ gave us the Western culture and we were able to go forth and use it to bring about the sciences, the arts, music and inventions.

Biblical Literalism & Human Secularism: Dead Ends.
- As in Adam(male & female them) "all die": extinction.
- By using of ordinances (laws) "all perish": extinction.
Pst - The God Shew is about salvation, not extinction.

"More excellent": neither broadmindead nor narrowmindead.

"Us-ward": neither of two left/right "them"s: them vs them.

http://www.godshew.org/Usward.htm
POINT: "Grace" is neither of two "law"s in Mt 22 & Rom 8.
http://www.godshew.org/TwainShew4.htm#Laws
Only what began can end. "Beginning"s: i: Fear ii: Sorrows.
His Grace has neither begin nor end; neither fear nor sorrow.
The GRACE of our Lord Jesus->Christ with you->all. Amen.
