I'm going to Paris in September and so far the Courtyard Marriott looks like where we are going to stay. Any other suggestions would be great too. I will be traveling with my husband and two-year-old son. Thanks!

Hello

If this is the Courtyard Paris Neuilly, the drawback is that it is situated in a residential area, not very close to public transportation (+/- 15 min walk from the subway).

My advice : for the same price range, you have several hotels in central Paris with a subway station and many buses just in front of the building.

If you enjoy international / standardized chain hotels like the Marriott, try the Mercure or Novotel (the only Marriott in Paris is on the Champs-Elysées and is very expensive).

To the best of my knowledge there are two "Courtyard Marriott" hotels in the Paris area but neither is in Paris.

Whoever sold you on the idea of staying in either one is not doing you a favor.

It is an utter waste of time to go to Paris and then secrete yourself in the suburbs.

The entire pace of French life demands that you be out later than you would in the USA. People do not even think about having dinner before 8 P.M. The rich culture of Parisian night time entertainment from Jazz clubs to famous cafe hangouts does not get going until 10 P.M.

If you inisist upon the familiarity of a mass market motel chain then such places exist inside the Paris city center.
