my dad died two years ago. i always think about the times i could have spent time with him and didn't. it really bothers me. don't put your self in a position to regret parts of your past. there is nothing wrong with going to gym with either parent and, since he offered to pay, it sounds like he wants to spend some time with his daughter.

NO it would not be freakishly weird, You need to enjoy every minute you have with your dad. If people do look at you weird don't pay any attention to them, But honestly I really don't think that people will say anything or act weird towards you guys. I see it all the time at the gym that i go to.

Actually it could be fun. Some quality time with you dad, every dad loves that. And hey you don't have to do the same thing, you can do some things together at the gym. But there is all different equipment there that you can use.
I would give it a try and hey if you don't like it and feel awkward then well tell your dad.

Totally NOT weird, as your Dad's daughter you should be honored to be at his side with no regards what so ever when and where ever you both should go, and if anyone makes it their business to express negativity toward your personal business with your Dad, then it is your right to reply by extending your arm forward, make a fist, and then extend your middle finger straight up and rigidly...:) Enjoy every second with your Dad, for some day he will be gone from your life, and you'll most likely regret not have spending enough quality time with him...

I'm 23 and work out with my dad all the time. It's a great way to spend time together and enjoy each other. However, if your only motivation is to have him pay for your gym membership instead of actually spending time with him then you may want to reconsider because that is kinda selfish.

Well, my Dad owns a gym and I workout with him all the time, and I'm 32. It is good quality time to catch up what's been going on all week in our day to day routines.

Not at all!! Why would you even think that would be weird? Be thankful that your dad wants to spend time with you. I'm estranged from my dad and have more issues than National Geographic. You're lucky!!

it wouldn't be weird. It would be you and your father spending time together doing something you both enjoy. Thats probably why he said he'd pay for you. He wants to spend more time with his daughter.

No, you are his daughter. There is nothing wrong with that. Besides it is a gym, you are not going to be right under him anyway.
