Doing things together can be considered dates, you do not necessarily have to go some place. You can have a date to watch TV together and many other things like this.

No a date is a date. Taking her out to dinner or a movie. Ya know like a real date. My husband takes me on dates, we get a sitter we go to dinner, no where fancy, we walk around the mall afterward or go to a movie. Ya know a date.

well... a date is generally reffered to a girl /boy ..or now a days girl/girl ..boy/boy ... meeting for dinner/lunch..etc to talk and romance ... with your friends its more like a get together or tea party ...!!!
