Actually I hate to tell you this, but man is not the only animal to kill for pleasure.
there are recorded instances of adolescent elephants stomping things to death that were no threat to them. These young elephants would tear up nature preserves because they could.
Baboons have been documented doing the same thing.
Your statement appears to be disjointed. You make an assertion that man is the only animal that kills for pleasure (not true), and then equate that to using his stomache for a graveyard... ie that since man is a meat eater that is bad (?> and then you point out this feeling of superiority.
Ok... I'll bite on that last one. (pun intended). is man superior? yes. Individually vs animals, nope. individually, I'd hate to face an angry lion. I'd win, but it would be ugly. I'd not want to face a great white shark in the ocean w/out a really nice spear gun.
What makes man superior is the ability to adapt and use tools. Very few other animals have that ability. Otters have been seen using rocks to open shells, and some tribes of monkeys have been seen using bones as weapons. But man beats them all. WE can adapt our environment to suit our needs, not flee from an environment we cannot handle.
That is the biggest difference between man and other animals, and what has moved us to the top of the food chain.

Men and women have dominion over animals when it comes to supreme intelligence. This is God given. If not, maybe I should stop over at the lion's den for the delicious strawberry tortoise rum cheesecake Ms. Lion always fixes, or swing by the backwoods & visit those chimps who are mechanics and have them change the plugs on my car & give me an oil change....they are quick but very expensive. Such intelligence means we have unfortunately learned how to plant and chop down (kill) trees so we can have something to write on and wipe our pampered tooshes with, and so much more. Just because we're smart enough replace trees by planting them does not make us the original creator of them. Eat your veggies, skip out on the chicken, and quit complaining.
And yes, my cat had some great times when he killed the lizards, poor little squirrels and birds for sport and dropped them off at the doorstep. But if my human friend did that, I would think he was nuts. And if he did it to a human (for pleasure) he would be pure evil.

First of all, we do have power to create. Have you not heard of genetic cloning? And secondly, man was created after the animals, named the animals, and was given dominion over the animals. Don't call unclean what God has called clean. There are no New Testament restrictions on what one can eat.

The simple answer is "God Gives and Forgives, Man gets and Forgets" , Man stopped being a true part of the natural world thousands of years ago and has lost his way.
We are heading down the path of rebirth, but in order to be reborn man must die.

Well, it might be the rights for curiosity.
Anyway, it is just a part of the killing cycle of the earth's sense of population control and humans just participated into it but just way out of control, as I might presume you are well aware that many species had been extinct for man's ignorance of ecology's economics.

God created man in his image, so that makes us superior to mere bests. God did not make us animals He made us human. God gave us animals to eat, that is why it is a sin to eat fellow humans.

"God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them, "Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. The fear of you and the dread of you will be on every animal of the earth, and on every bird of the sky. Everything that the ground teems with, and all the fish of the sea are delivered into your hand. Every moving thing that lives will be food for you. As the green herb, I have given everything to you. But flesh with its life, its blood, you shall not eat." -- Genesis 9:1-4
"One man has faith to eat all things, but he who is weak eats only vegetables. Don't let him who eats despise him who doesn't eat. Don't let him who doesn't eat judge him who eats, for God has accepted him. Who are you who judge another's servant? To his own lord he stands or falls. Yes, he will be made to stand, for God has power to make him stand." -- Romans 14:2-4
As noted^, God has given manpermission to use animals as food. But he has also forbidden: gluttony, greed, & unwarrented violence. We are to care for our animals humanely, even in the manner in which they are slaughtered for food.
Nimrod was a mighty hunter in opposition to Jehovah God. He hunted both humans & wild animals, simply for 'pleasure'. When he led the people in building a monument to himself, God put a stop to that endeavor ...

The slaughter of untold millions of innocents --both people & animals-- not just for eating, or hunting, but for sheer greed: To gain for themselves what doesn't belong to them, or simply to frighten others into submission; To make a name for themselves, as Nimrod wanted; To be THE Ruler, or of its class, rather than to submit to Anyone else's rule, including that of our Loving Creator ... Such ones show themselves to Not be God's children, but those of his adversary. It is their choice.
However, The pain & suffering they have caused will be Erased with them, & Replaced with a beautiful sanctuary ... the perfected earth, full of peaceful people & animals, all working harmoniusly to bring honor & joy to God.
