Why must we fight with the infidel?
Can't we just accept they have a different belief
and they won't convert no matter what.

yes, but why bother anymore, every single person in the world now knows about Islam, it is on theinternet, tv, radio, newpaper, word of mouth, etc.
After all the bad press of Islam, no-one will convert.

No we do not fight infidels unless we are Declared to be in a State of war, were war is justified and fighting back is justified.

I would not agree with you completely. True, the media is giving Islam a wrong picture but this has given the West a chance to study the real Islam. There has been so many converts to Islam. I guess when a religion is advertised people want to learn more about it. We cannot leave things alone because we are here for a purpose. We have to spread the message of Islam. However, we are supposed to do this through peace not force. Islam is a religion of peace and attracts people because of its simplicity.

see.....you start off a hot line there by calling me an infidel - but fair enuff its the term you use. and no i wont convert "back". you see i am technically a muslim right cos my mother is a muslim? born of her womb?
However, today i am a child of the most High God, a citizen of heaven, an ambassador for Christ, a letter from Christ, in total i am 36 things in Christ. Jesus is my Saviour and The Messiah.

A jew will tell you the torah is right, a buddhist will talk about enlightenment, then there is is this utmost belief in taoism and hinduism and all the rest...

Of course we are all infidels right? But guess what mate? Have you ever stop to think that the majority could be right? All these people of different faiths will come together and tell you that the muslims cause trouble wherever they go.

Dont get me wrong.... i have a lot of muslim friends and they are great people, but if everyone went about their own business and no one tries to overpower the other, life is good innit?
Dont start something that aint ever gonna end like this question. The war is good enough. Its been ongoing since Muhammad decided to declare himself a prophet, after Jesus said that after him there will imposters and people who will try and lead everyone astray.

tell me, does muhammad tell you to cause troubles and force people into becoming muslims? cos the way it is today - that sure looks like it.

Infidel in the prophet context mean those who harm the fellow muslim, so i believe in this age, the infidel mean same as in the era of our prophet, those who threatens and act violence towards our sisters and brothers. I see nothing wrong defending our own right to live peacefully and to preach them. Emphasis here is on 'preaching', not forcing, two difference thing. I also acknowledge that some will not convert and that's their right, i respect that but as a muslim it is our responsibilty to spread the syiar islam by variety of ways. So don't give up or give in, just believe in Allah and fisabilillah.

I am a muslim - i dont go about fighting with fellow muslims OR non muslims - well if i had to, it sure wouldnt be in the name of Islam. Islam doesnt teach this.

A SHORT STORY OF PROPHET MOHAMED.

An old non muslim woman used to sweep dirt / dust onto prophet Mohamed as he regularly passed by. A few days passed when he noticed the woman wasnt comming out to do the regular thing. So he decided to knock on he door and found that she was ill .......................................... she excepted Islam.

where does the notion that Islam teaches us to "kill the infidel"
Did that notion come from FOX NEWS or SKY NEWS

Islam is not spread by the sword and never was !!!!

Yes you are correct, Islam commands us to respect all religions and their beliefs but it also commands us to fight for our religion if its being threatened, but while in war the killing of woman, children, the elderly and all plants and animals should be respected, and the killing of innocent civilians is not permissable.

How would you convince anyone in their right mind to convert to muslim???? HOW??? 90% of the world (i would say hate, but perhaps thats a strong word,) lets say dislike, muslims...regardless of what you believe, the amount of bad press your religion has had, leaves 90% of the population believing you are sick, twisted evil fools. you will never in a month of holy sundays be able to change that. perhaps you should focus your energyson sorting out the bad eggs in your gang, and do the world a favour!!!!

I've a Question for you if you are Muslim..

suppose you are a father of a 5 years old son... okay

just suppose both of you went for picnic. okay

and your son is just on the corner of the mountain .. from whr if he falls down he will die..

lets assume there is one Old man standing just beside your son near the corner of the mountain watching your son.. and enjoying the beauty of nature..

from very far you are shouting at that old man .. that save my child otherwise he will jump..

and that old man .. don't listen you and just enjoying the nature.

atlast your son jump and die from mountain . okay..

what will you say to that old man? why din't you save my son .. . my son was innocent . he doesn't know what happen if he will jump from here but you know what will happen if he jump from mountain ...

but still you dint stop .. him .. WHY??

suppose that old man will say .. i was doing my duty .. its not my duty to save your child.. i was enjoying nature.. why should i stop your child..

lets say .. on the day of judgement.. Allah will ask us (we Muslims) that why din we invite non Muslims.. when they were wrong..

what wil lyou say?? that you were doing your duty??.. or ignoring your duty..

if you know.. that at the time of last Haj .. performed by prophet Muhammad (SAAW).. he said if you know one ayat.. one verse.. teach or transfer it to others. who don't know.. its our duty to call non Muslims.. towards Islam.. if they accept it will be good from them.. if not .. atleast we have done our duty....

these non Muslims at the time of judgement will say .. these Muslims did not invite us.. they knew the truth . but they din't tell us....

May Allah swt guides us towards right path.. and bless us with the knowledge of Qur'an..

even it is mention in Qur'an also..

if you analize.. the condition of getting paradise. you will find Surah Asr..

Allah swt labeled us Khair ul Ummah.. the best nation.. so isn't it our duty to call others to be the part of best Ummah??

try to differentiate the life of this world and the hereafter..

real life is the life after death..
