I would say yeah especially with the way the laws are at this point in time, but then I have to look at my parents and she was 17 and he was 29 when they met and they stayed together until death did them part. When my dad died my mom died 10 months later. So I think it might depend more on the relationship rather then the age, the reasons and way things actually are, rather then the age. It is funny if you look back in time to see how old the people actually were, whose marriages actually lasted, when they did get married and how that changed through time. The laws have been corrupted because someone meant to do a good thing and not allow a 29 year old man to get away with fooling around with a 17 year old girl, knocking her up, and then leaving her in a lurch.

yes it is. what do u two have in common besides f*****g? why would a 20 yr old want to be with a 16 yr old highschool girl instead of someone his own age? think about that. u cant party wit him unless its at a house cause u got to be 18 to get in the clubs. and u do know that is considered rape in many states because u are a minor whether u are consenting or not and he can go to jail if ur parents want to prosecute him. Its only a problem cause one of yall is underage.

yes and he can also get into trouble u are better off to find someone ur own age ok. My bf left me for a 16 year old and he is in jail right now b/c of it. I'm 20 and he's 20 and he even got the girl pregnant and now he is in there for rape and alot of other stuff and people will look at him like he is a child molester and he will be getting called names and stuff just like my ex now every girl in the city doesn't want him and if he ever does get a girl then it will have to be out of city somewhere. so find u someone ur own age ok.

it would depend on both of their maturity levels..which may depend on how they were raised and the environment they were raised in...
if the parent (s) disagree, then by all means respect their wishes and judgement..be friends at the least if you get along and invite him to YOUR house if the parent(s) allow it, not the other way around...
the main thing is to keep your clothes on no matter what....this will guarantee that all will be fine no matter what the ages are...
It takes a good year if not more to really get to know someone..if he is the 20 year old, be friends have fun and do not ever let a man make decisions for you or control you in any way..be your own boss and own person

Yes. It's called statutory rape and the 20 year old can be (and would be if it were my 16 year old) put in jail.

Yes, but only because one of them is under 18. That could lead to tons of legal trouble if they were to have sex because one is a minor. I know a 4-year age difference doesn't seem like much, but it really does make a difference if one person is underage. Sorry.

it all comes down to a maturity issue. if you are both mature enough to understand the limits of your relationship then i would say there shouldn't be a problem. just keep the physical aspects in check and you should be fine. you are only dating after all.

well i'm from Nigeria, so i'm not sure about U.S laws...so...u know?!
but that aside, i think it depends on his interests (sometimes we could be younger at heart- guys), and hers ( they usually wanna get old quickly...mature; as they say...and then they realize later it's better to be younger but then it's too late)
so apart from the laws, if any, it's usually ok.
