I am not fat whatsoever but I do want a toned body. Especially for swimsuit season! I had a baby 5 months ago and have hip chunk which embarasses me. Like I said I'm 5'6 and weigh 126lbs so I really don't have all that much fat to lose, only on my hips and buns. If I worked out 3 times a week, 30mins cardio, then alternated weight training upper body and lower, plus ate only fruits, veggies, meat, wheat bread and dairy, what would be a good estimate of how many months it would take me to get my body toned or at least get rid of my hip and butt chunk? I lose weight pretty well and I know everyone's different and it all depends but I'd appreciate a rough estimate. Thanks everyone! Plus is jogging the best way to get rid of my hip fat? Are there excercises you can do to tone your hip area? The Bicycle Ab workout?

First, losing fat is not controllable as far as WHERE you lose it. Burning calories is HOW you lose it, but your body will decide where to take it off first, last. Don't let any tv infomercial or anyone else tell you different.

Now, TONING is different. You are building the muscle UNDER the fat. Okay? So if you do say, crunches, every day..you may still have fat but it will wiggle less and if you have very little fat you will see definition.

Fat on your hips, where girls get fat after babies, just keep up the cardio. Always do at least 20 min, because that's when you really start to accomplish something.

Make sure you skip as much salt as you can and keep up the water. At 24 you should have no problems getting back in shape!
