Of course it's okay for a 20 year old guy to like a 17 year old girl. However, depending on what state you live in, you may want to hold off on any sexual activities until the big 18th birthday party. However, be slightly suspicious, because I am 20 myself, and though it's not a big deal to date a 17 year old, I would much rather be with a girl my age, so might want to check that out. Does he have any ex-girlfriends?

I remember when I was 17 I dated a 21 year old guy. To me all the guys that were my age were imature. I really don't see anything wrong with that. 3 years is not a big difference in age at that point in time.

I dated a guy that was 23 when I was 17 and it was a bad decision. I think as long as your parents know about it will be ok, I did everything behind their back and it was just a bad mix when they found out. In your case its not that big of an age difference as mine but still If your parents know about it and it isnt just sexual it will be ok. Also remember you are both in different parts of your lives, Im guessing your still in high school and hes not. Hes probably more experienced too so just be aware of your differences there too.

Absolutely YES, and let me add that regarding relationships between consenting individuals, age differences DO NOT matter in most cases, however concerns exist among adolescents where parents/guardians set the rules... and most importantly, outsiders, especially governments have NO business butting in or making unconstitutional laws regarding the private lives of people...

According to me, yes, according to the law...as long as they don't have sex it's OK. You'd have to check the age of consent in the state they are located. Here it is 18 but some states it's 16

Yes, most guys like younger women, the only catch is wait til she is a women and with her age her parents are a lot more likely to be involved in whether you date openly.
