In the nicest way possible...I'd like to ask...
WHO THE HELL PROPOSES OVER THE PHONE!?!?!
Anyway..
Marriage should be considered only when you know you are absolutely in love with someone.
Love, however, is blind.
Love is blind to gender, appearence, race, age...everything.
As crazt as it seems, the way a person looks it not the most important thing when it comes to a relationship.
Granted, you should not be with someone you cannot stand to look at, but you should consider the facts of how he makes you feel.
When you think of him, do you feel that you could spend the rest of your life with him, knowing how he makes you feel inside?
When you think of him, do you feel you could raise a family with him, knowing how he makes you feel inside?
When you think of him, is there anyone else in the world that could ever make you feel the same way he does?
If you think that you could spend the rest of your life with him, then looks should not matter.
If you think that you could raise a family with him, knowing that he would be the best man to father your children and help your family grow, then looks should not matter.
If you think that he is the only man in this world that could ever make you feel so loved, then looks should not matter.
The problem is with in this case.
It's not shallowness, it's simply attraction.
It's the maturity to put attraction against emotion.
If you think that he is the perfect man when you think of him, not just when you look at him, then give him a chance, at least.

u cant never judge a person through his appearence or the way he talks. Speacially when u r looking someone 4 ur heart u better check 4 his positive & negative sides. In this case i think u better put a full stop here & Wait 4 ur real star 2 shine.

Meet him again with parents or guardians with a list of questions framed by u as per your expectations. Discuss them frankly till u r fully convinced otherwise forget him & let him go to the hell. I think u r a little bit fool. These things are not decided so easily as u think. U r really immature to decide your marriage alone. I think this man is not fit for u at all.

Looks of a person are important but only to a certain extent (i.e., to draw attention or to create an interest, obviously no one would want to make friends with a shabby shaggy person).
But looks are less important when it comes to relationships. A not-so-attractive guy with good character is always better than a handsome pervert.
So its up to you to decide

So it's attraction and not love. Give it a try. go for a date. You will soon find whther he's compatible with you or not. Althoug hyou have already given him minus points for looks. If looks matter so much to you, forget the idea. You would be just wasting your time. That may land you in problems later.
All the best...

You cannot judge a person just like that it take seven years or more. true colour comes only only when he or she becomes yours.Do not give importance for the looks..

whenever you are in dilemma I think it is better to consult or have their idea of your parents( if not alive --both --better consult your brother or sister--no matter --younger --elder) on any account avoid asking opinion of your friends--in this stage--it will create more confusion or make the situation worst
