If you have been to the A&E of any public hospital, then you will know why ,I was taken to hospital by ambulance because I have asthma and a heart condition,I checked out after waiting more than six hours to see a doctor,I just couldn't wait any more.I figured that I had been patient enough and if I hadn't died from the reson why I was rushed to hospital in the first place.I would probably die of boredom or neglect there.

Because that's what you need to be if your in the hospital. It takes for ever to get anything done there and for them to figure out what the problem is. Average ER wait is 6 to 8 hours. Patients your next!!

Because you need the 'patients' of a saint waiting for treatment on the NHS, because it's been mismanaged by idiots in the government for years.
And the staff need equal 'patients' to work in such crummy conditions, these people are true heroes!
Glad I got that off my chest!

The word patient is derived from the Latin word patiens, the present participle of the deponent verb pati, meaning "one who endures" or "one who suffers".
