Ohhh, I feel for you, I truly do! I check the kids each night after their showers because I am so paranoid. Just the thought of them is enough to make you feel itchy. Just wash everything in hot water twice, three times if you feel you need it and clean everything! Then maybe after this is all done, the gross feeling will go away. Good luck to you!! :)

It is quite normal to feel pretty creepy after having little parasites on your body.
You do realize that a full body treatment is usually needed; and not just the hair of the head. Those little critters spread.
Everything the child plays with has to be washed, hats, mitts, coats, stuffed animals, blankets, etc. The sofa and beds must be sprayed with a special spray. All loose items that can be washed should be; and they should be dried in the dryer. Its the heat that kills them.
They are hard to get rid of and the shampoo is very toxic so be sure to do the whole house at the same time. Best not to have the treatment more than once if you can help it.
If there have been any friends in to play, or any adults in to visit you need to notify them. You don't want to have it transferred back to you.

This is a fairly common ailment amongst the elementary set. The proximity of coats/hats/scarves in the "cloak rooms" or hanging next to each other on the hooks, along with the elementary habit of "sharing" makes this a tough one to avoid. Be sure you have treated everyone completely. Get the shampoo and treat everyone according to the instructions. It is also vital to take care of the rest of your house - wash ALL bedding in hot water, vacuum furniture, carpets, mattresses, etc. Place any items that can't be washed (stuffed animals, throw pillows, etc.) in garbage bags... You will likely feel the creepy-crawly feeling for a while, but make sure it isn't due to a recurrence. If you aren't completely thorough in the process to eliminate head lice, you will likely see them again within two weeks. Check out http://www.headlice.org/faq/index.htm for more info - good luck!

Not the lice but anytime i'm watching Tv or someone is talking about bugs and things i start to feel itchy all over.
Kids pick up these kinds of things especially at school so it's very easy to pass around.
I'm sure your just paranoid but you can always check to keep your mind at ease.

Twice, you have to wash EVERYTHING in HOT water. And I mean EVERYTHING. All clothes, bedding, pillows. Furniture you spray. Check "dad" too.
