Western Civilization was greatly influenced by both the Jewish and Christian traditions. Much of how we think and how we live is a by product of these two faiths.

There is no such thing as a Judeo-Christian tradition.

Seems to me that it's more like it was a human product than religious one. Modern civilization is a product of Science. If we were so entrenched in religion we would not need to have moved from the dark ages where religion ran rampant and dictated the lives of people. It is through curiosity of things other than religion that has enabled us humans to get out of religious tyranny to progress to modern civilization.

If it were up to the church we would still be believing that the sun revolved around the Earth. So to answer you question, no, modern civilization is not a product of the Judeo Christian tradition.

Judeo Christian ideals and traditions have ruled western politics for over a hundreds years. To dispute that actuality you may could desire to a million) have an time table and a pair of) have little to no know-how of Judeo-Christian ideals. working example between the main sacred Judeo-Christian perception is that human beings have dignity as they are made in a lifeless ringer for God. it rather is the beginning for each and all the rights you have in this united states of america.

If modern civilization is a product of African American tradition, then ipso facto we are all black regardless of what race we are.

Sounds stupid, doesn't it?

Yet it is the very logic you are using.

There is no 'Judeo Christian' tradition. Christians took our texts and did some very strange things with them. The result has little to do with Judaism anymore.

The term exists only because Christians like to assume that their practices and beliefs are more universal than they are.

Please don't encourage this.

Christianity is supposed to be set apart from the things of this world. People are not "born" into Christianity, they conscientiously set themselves apart for Christ.

It is awful arrogant to claim that it is the product of any one factor. I would put it to you that in the US it would be more accurate to claim that we are more the product of Masonic traditions. The Founding Fathers were not even close to all Christians, but they were all Masons. Does that make us all Masons?

We are all either Jews or Gentiles. In Gods eye there are no others. If you are not Jewish you are a Gentile. That's it plain and simple!
