Ok, I am on the volunteer fire department in my town. I am the only woman on the department so I know I have to put up with a certain amount of flirting etc. But it has got to where everytime I go to the fire department there is a group of guys that is either already there or comes up there and they are really vulgar. They actually humiliate me in the name of teasing. I know boys will be boys and guys in their late teens early twentys mostly think of sex. But shouldn't they respect me and be able to carry on a decent conversation with me? What can I do or say to make them treat me with respect?

Every thing i have tried to make it better, they only think it is funny and continue. They say I am fun to make fun of.

You'll never get them on side - forget it and find some other place to volunteer at. Like an animal shelter or strip club.

no why should they your a women you went into the wrong business hon. volunteer as a cop so you got that extra gun protection but yes they should respect you those pigs you got a lot to put girl. u can do is stay quite for the rest of your duty and then once your employ and make money u can sue their asses....only employment ensures your protected under the law volunteering means nothing...btw i hope u do well this is sexual harrassment and talk to them theyll laugh and then it gets more uncomfortable cuz they hate u from then on. or u could wears an ugly dress. other ways be friends with them all of them so they start fighting for them hang around them until they have nothing to say cuz it gets real old eat with them when they make u part of their own the trick gets old when they learn you eat snort like them they ll have no reason to treat u like a women u know what i mean gl sister even though i aint a women

If some of do go over the line? Hit `em where it hurts. They have a very sensitive area? If you tag `em, once? They'll respect you form then on? And none of the other Idiots will wanna mess with you. If they're gonna act like Children.They need to be punished. Congrats on being on the Front Lines for all of us!

men"young guys" love getting a rise out of women, if they don't get a rise out of you it takes the fun away, i know its not fair on you, but you don't seem like you want to look into legal options. Give it time and it will pass, take the fun away from it, or turn it own them, one may be bold but i doupt they all are.
