You need to see a "dentist" immediately. The black your seeing is decay that has more than likely allowed bacteria to reach the nerve causing an abscess to develop or the nerve to die. There is probably some swelling and throbbing that your experiencing especially at night when you lie down. You will either need a root canal therapy and build up with a crown if you want to save the tooth and if it's possible, or an extraction to clean up the abscess and remove the source of the problem. For the mean time take Advil, Motrin or any anti-inflammatory medication at 600-800mg to ease the pain and help to reduce the swelling. Good luck and hope I've been of some help.

it's infected to the point the nerve is damaged. More than likely you'll have to have a root canal and a cap placed over decayed tooth. Just pulling teeth when they go bad is not the answer. If you pull a tooth and don't repair it it leaves a gap and soon the surrounding teeth will have a tendency to lean in towards the void causes more problems.

Well tooth pain can be bad, If the tooth will not stop paining then I can only suggest extraction. For short term relief go to the drugstore and get oil of cloves, it is over the counter and costs very little. Take a Q-Tip, dip it in the oil of cloves and rub it on the tooth, tastes like hell but it does the job for a while.

It sounds like a cavity and if it keeps going you'll probably need a root canal. You really need a dentist. Your doctor should at least give you tylenol with codeine (tylenol 3), or even vicoden. Sorry I'm not more of a help. I hope it works out for you. Good luck!

YOur Doc is a quack...
Go to a dentist.. Probably the tooth will need to be pulled.. You probably broke the root somehow and it has died and the nerves are throbbing..

go consult a dentist, it sounds like a tooth decay, the dentist will be able to fix the problem by extracting it, we can't help you do the extraction online here.
