I don't think being a Christian means that you have to be fired up all the time. Feelings that are common to the human condition do not just disappear the moment you become a Christian.
You might even find that alot of those who appear to be really on fire for God all the time are putting on a show because of what they want others to think about their "religiosity."
Being a Christian is not about how religious you appear to be to others but how you are in your personal relationship with the Lord.
How is your personal devotional life? Are you communing with God in prayer or just mouthing some one minute words into the air? Are you reading the Word of God every day? That is where He speaks to your heart, and not in some showy program of "How Spiritual am I?"

YES!! i went through a stage in my life last year where i went from being all fired up for God @ spring harvest but then i went through a really hard time and found that i was just wondering what the point in it all was and i just felt like He wasn't there for me and stuff.
but now it's completely different. i came through the hard times a much stronger person and found that God had been there for me the entire time even though i felt He wasn't. In fact, he healed a family friend of terminal cancer so He is definitely a great and wonderous God!!
what i am trying to say is that you may feel like that today, or maybe for a long time like i did but God is still there with you even if you feel that He has completely deserted you, things will get better and He is ALWAYS right beside you.

God is ok, but very busy. Accept the wonderful times and accept the quiet times.
God wants you to be awesome so that when He is not around
you can get on well.
Try not to 'need' so much and just quietly pray.

Some may say that it is the "Devil" doing his work.. That is his job, to separate you from your love for God... I have been going through the same thing lately and though I don't have any doubts about my love...I don't have the "fired up" feeling..as you say..
I agree that we do tend to "drift away" now and then also...it just seems to be our human nature to become busy with other things and to become over involved in our daily lives and precoccupied with other problems..

I've had moments like this also and you should get on your knees right now, be where you can be alone and pray. Ask God to reveal any hidden sin that could be interfering. Pray until you get ahold of God, cry out to Him, beg Him for His mercy and grace. He's faithful and will hear you. God bless

Sometime's I feel alone and desperate but I know that somewhere, God will never abandon me. I HOPE I will never abandon Him as well.
Ya, even if I'm losing a game or something, loss of a close person's life, I know that I can never give up. We need to keep moving.
=D.

Your in the process of learning a very important truth. What we "feel" is not always reality. Emotions are indicators sometimes of what's going on inside us but building your faith or behavior on them leads to a roller coaster lifestyle with devastating effects. Sometimes when I don't "feel" I adjust my focus to just being with Him. During those times I learn more from Him than I ever learn when my emotions are in high gear.

Proverbs 3:5,6
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.
It is about relationship...
He will never leave or forsake you,
but you can if that is your will.
You will damage what you have together,
the love, trust and commitment.
Heb 3:13,14
"But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called "Today," so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. For we have become partakers of Christ, if we hold fast the beginning of our assurance firm until the end,"

Yes, its a spiritual attack.
However, we wont feel "in love" all the time, but we most certainly should not feel nothing, because thats a problem.
Just praise Him anyway and Satan will flee because he hates praise to God.

I would not go as far as to suggest it was a spiritual attack.
You were probably just tired that morning, or had other things on your mind.
