I have two small bumps on my lip (one on to lip, one on bottom lip) that take the form of small, fluid-filled blisters. They appear on my lips (which arent dry/chapped) and when popped with a pin, a clear fluid emerges. They have a tendancy to go away and come back a few days later. They don't cause any pain.

What is it!

yes.. all cold sores are herpes.. same as chicken pox virus.. its a virus that you contract. could be from kissing a loved one that had a cold sore, or (the more rudely put way that the person above me stated) .. There is no cure once you get it.. but they say with age, their outbreaks are less.. Sometimes stress or illness causes breakouts more freaquently. You need to consult a doctor who could advice you on medication to help with the pain and outbreaks.. Dont do any kissing or touching and rubbing of eyes etc when you have breakouts.. The virus can spread to other tissues and you surely dont want a cold sore virus in your eyes.. ewwww!

This maybe herpes 1. Have a doctor test the fluids. That is the only way to be certain.

Good luck
