No. Go take care of your warrant anyway.

Depends on the state but I recommend taking care of the warrant right away. You can be arrested on any warrant. If the warrant is for somethng like unpaid fines you can sometimes contact the court and pay the fines and never be arrested.

In Texas, every time you get a license, renewal, change of address or anything you do there when submitting your paperwork will always get a warrants check. the laws now tie in minor in possession of alcohol, child support and felonies as well as municipal traffic warrants to getting anything done there. You will get checked and they will quietly call the police if there is not a trooper already sitting there as usually is.

Done it a hundred times at least.

DMV has access to DMV information only. They are not authorized to access your state's local crime computer or NCIC. Nonetheless, don't be an asswipe and take care of your warrant. Eventually you will get picked up and most likely at a really inconvenient time.
