No, you don't have to know any English to get a job or live successfully in our country. Millions do so every day, and live quite well.

Your English looks excellent, especially the use of idioms. According to my local expert on "English as a Second Language" the use of id oms is the hardest part of learning English and indicates a very high level of language skill. Therefor I conclude you are pulling our collective chain.

It depends on the job. If you're an American, why can't you speak English? You would really help yourself if you learned English. It is clear that you are trying to make a point here, but regardless of people's views on immigration, if you live in the US, speaking English will greatly benefit you.

Well considering that your grammar is ten times better than half the people on this thing, which most of them are "fluent" in english, I would hire you. And as long as there isnt a lot of communication going on you should be hired.

Not really. If you cant understand English, then things like changes in orders or instructions cannot be understood. I suggest you learn he language as soon as possible/

No if you want to do only menial labor. You severely limit your ability to build a good life in the US by not learning English.

Its not realistic to think you can do many jobs without English. How do people give you instructions etc?

Sure, as long as you let me go to wherever you're from and not learn the language...doesn't make a lot of sense, does it...

Funny thing about Americans...we're kinda proud of our national heritage. Guess you'll be leaving then....see ya!
