Your ecological footprint is how many acres of productive land you need to support the way you live. This number is affected by your food consumption, energy efficiency, and general wastefulness. You can find out your ecological footprint by taking this quiz:

http://www.earthday.net/footprint/index.asp#

There are an average of 4.5 productive acres per person on Earth. The average ecological footprint in the U.S. is 24 acres per person. If everyone lived like the average American, we would need more than 6 Earths. Conserve, people!!
