Once you turn against against God you are already with him. He does not have to do anything and you belong to him. As for taking the side of God, He has to provide you with His word the Bible to guide you all the way to salvation and eternal life and answer all your demands or prayers when you submit them to him when you believe in Him. This may sound unfair and yet it is true. God is for you and Satan is for himself.
