Seems to me there's a lot of talk about the first and not much evidence of the second round these parts.
My thoughts: lots of people are very spiritual without being in any way religious, and at least an equal number are religious without being spiritual. I, for instance, have at least one spirit spending a lot of time in my house, and often seek guidance from the long-dead (many times I get it without asking, but that's another story). None of that has anything to do with God, and - at least in my case - little more to do with gods in general.
Your thoughts?

I tend to agree with you. I do not believe or disbelieve in god(s) - I am very spiritual however and have an interesting theory that not only do we create the idea of our gods but our energy lends to their actual existence and ability to be perceived by others. Do you find that the more you give your thoughts and energy to a spirit the stronger they become? I cannot see spirits but have spoken with a few in my life - mostly their choice, not mine.

Religion is what they try and shove down your throat, usually from birth as this is when you are most vunerable.. Spirituallity is within you , it's been with you since birth.. All humans have it , some are just apt to be more Spiritual than others.. I am a Wiccan High Priest , I live and breathe Wicca every moment of the day.. I don't personally classify Wicca as a religion, more a belief system and a way of life.. I will say here and now that if I considered Wicca to be a religion I would be more religious than than the Pope in Rome... Love and Light .. Blessed Be

*Religion = is a belief system generally following the teaching
of a indivitual such as Buddha and Jesus etc.
*Spirituality = or to be spiritual is the personal relationship one has with spirit of the Divine Creator or what one feels to be the Holy Spirit and the spirit of the teacher
Spirituality has nothing to do with ghosts or spirits of
disincarnet beings which are lesser evolved beings
lost inbetween dimensions.
When we pass over we should go to the light ... ghosts
and spirits of the dead have become lost in darkness btn
the light relms and we don't need lost beings guiding us.
Seek Spirit of the Divine the source of creation
and all knowing which is Light.....Light carries awareness and knowing ...to help us become enlightened.
There are many metaphysical spiritual sites on net to help you with this discernment...

i think it's a matter of whom do you trust your way life to.. if you choose a way of life which has been around for many years without questioning or doubting it, mean your a religious one. but if you choose your own way of life, deciding which is right or wrong, and living it's consequences, then your the second type.
but, if what you mean is spiritual like ghost stuffs, hemm... i think if you look or explain it with the way your religion, then you can be classified again as religious type, vice versa.
so it's all about the way you see it. if you ask me, i do have faith in my religioun but sometimes, i have to look for the meaning of life elsewhere. :)

Religion is the method which you choose to worship. Which religion you are depends on your beliefs, and which method best comforts you and brings you closer to God. Religion is supposed to help you grow in your spirituality.
Spirituality is the vapor of the soul. What is emitted from the soul is shown in a person's life as their spirituality.

Religion is a directional element as it is a path/river, that guides you towards your ultimate destination.
Spirituality is directionless just like an ocean, you have to find a way it in by your self. There are risks of to be lost or to be misguided.

Religion is a man made institution with dogmas and liturgies etc. Spirituality is our natural state but we allow materialist desires to delude us.

being religious can mean just strictly someone who regularly goes to their chosen house of worship. being spiritual means believing in a higher power and being mindful of that as you make decisions in life.
