tonsillitis?

I went to the doctors 5 days Ago . And they said i had tonsillitis . I got Antibotics but thier not working at all . Plus am suffering from bad head aches . presures around the face . Sickness And dizzyness ave been feeling like this for over a week now . Is this normal ?

I Dont have a fever Tho . =S . Its Really Annoying i carnt do anything . am run down n tired . Ave also devloped a Red rash at the top off my mouth which is sore

Go back to the MD it sounds like Mono. I had something similar and for two weeks was diagnosed with tonsilitis.
My face was swollen and I was just beat. I did have a low grade fever. You just may need something stronger -
or a blood test. Feel better.

headaches, pressure around the face and dizziness are caused by a sinus infection...if you had one and it's clearing up due to the antibiotics it will always feel worse at first, in 3 days you should see a change in the way you feel, sometimes better sometimes a bit worse, and within 7 days the symptoms should start clearing up.if they are not, you need to call the doctor so they can get you on a different antibiotic.....

You probably should go back to the doctor, but many cases of tonsillitis are actually viral so that could explain why the antibiotics haven't done any good! If so, nothing you can do except rest and drink lots of fluids.

Go back the penicillin should have worked by now you might need stronger,before I had my tonsills out I often had to have another dose,it is a good idea to keep going back if you keep on getting tonsillitis then they will take them out I was certainly grateful when mine came out. good luck hope you are better soon .
