The first few days are critical ... if he hasn't called within a week, he:
- is probably gay
- found another victim
- was drunk and never realised he took your number in the first place
If you really like someone, always try to get their number so the ball is in your court. Even though they might have not been impressed the first time, that (unexpected) phone call will definitely make them think ...

He asked for your number, so I imagine he will use it. I wouldn't expect him to call right away though. Most guys sit on the number for a few days before calling. They don't want to appear any more desperate than we would in the same situation. Also he just met you and probably will also be wondering what to say and whatnot. I wouldn't stress it.
