One cup of cooked spinach equals 840 milligrams

A medium baked potato provides 800 mg

One cup of cooked broccoli equals 460 mg

One cup of cantaloupe has 430 mg

A medium tomato has 290 mg

One half cup of strawberries contains 230 mg

A medium-size banana contains 450 mg.
To help you reach your daily requirement of potassium, also try whole grain foods, low-fat dairy products, beans and almonds.

Banannas, Apple Cider Vinegar - used on salad , or 1 Tablespoon in large cup hot water, and honey , so you can also put a tablespoon of honey in this drink , very healthy for you, if you are overweight will lead to weight loss but otherwise all sorts of health benefits -- helps make signs of arthritis disappear while taking it, for some and diminishes it for others. Can also have honey on toast etc and in tea. Honey in warm milk is great for a sore throat and is a very relaxing drink before bed. Most people like to take the applecider drink prior to bed. For those not worried about the sugar in honey -- although a natural sugar-but some wanting to lose weight might not want it-- it adds potassium and makes the drink more palable for many . Apple Cider Vinegar also does the best job of cleaning teeth and disinfecting things, great to gargle with also, many uses and health benefits besides potassium , said to help with many ailments. It has been around as a cure and aid for many problems for over a 100 years. It must be the vinegar, not the beverage.

Hopefully your mom likes spinach because it is very high in potassium.. Popeye loves potassium!
You should look for a natural potassium tablet at the store. They are not very expensive and certainly better than eating spinach everyday (boring), or trying to eat a bushel of bananas every day. (yep that's what it takes for somebody seriously low in potassium to get improvement).
Other foods high in potassium are oranges and broccoli so those may be an added perk to her potassium tablet.

I would say the top three are 1) dried apricots 2) prunes 3) bananas.

She can also take a good potassium supplement.

Also, potassium aids calcium absorption, so check that her calcium is ok too, or just make sure she has some dairy with her potassium rich foods.
