The stock radio and speakers are not very good and have rarely been turned up too loud. If I do need to replace it, how difficult is it to rerun the wiring, considering I am not an electrician?

most aftermarket stereo systems are engineered to operate off of any car's stock 12V wiring system. unless your car is really beat down and worn out, you should not have to replace the wiring.

however, if you are investing in large consumption devices such as subwoofers and the amplifiers that go along, you will have to run heavy duty wiring from your battery to your trunk to supply power and ground.

all other speakers should be fine with stock wiring, if you hear cracklin or weak signal after installation, just run a new wire from the back of your stereo to the affected speaker location (you can usually do this easy by hiding the wire under the panels and carpeting in your car)

its real easy when you get the new stereo get the wiring harness that plugs into your existing harness so all you do is unplug the factory radio plg this harness into the wires from your car then match the wires to the plug on the back of the new stereo and it done can get the harness at walmart, autozone etc...
