LOL! One time in my Sociology class we actually talked about this. To most of us, it serves more as a nice gesture, telling you that you have a "nice bum" rather than something offensive. Consider it as something like "Hey Miss, I like the way you look tonight."
Then again, if I'm a chick and with my more conservative mind and I get slapped on my behind, I would be more pissed than complimented. Then again, I'm not a chick so I don't know how you would think xD

As the others told you, you must have a nice bum. If someone kept slapping me, I might be tempted to slap them back. When they ask, tell them, you wanted to feel my bum, and I wanted to feel your face.

You have a nice butt. My Mother has a big butt, not HUGE but big butt and my stepfather always slaps her on the butt. I don't think she appreciates it because he does it so often. If you're at a dance and someone hits you on the butt or the bum, turn around and say 'HEY ASSHOLE, I'M NOT THAT KIND OF GIRL AND KEEP YOUR HANDS TO YOURSELF". If you don't, they'll think you're easy.

ha yeah the same happens to me. if it bothers u, speak up (as in shout at them) and they will leave u alone, otherwise they are just flirting. Theoretically the guy is saying he likes you when he does so, but it is not the best way of showing so. dont trust a guy that has no respect for you.

It means they melt in your presence, like wild animals, and just can't help themselves from touching you...you must be doing something right! This happens most to blondes like myself, I've noticed. Men can be very weak.
