You can not blame the sun bed for cold sores , nice try.
Cold sores are actually oral herpes and that is from kissing or oral with an infected man or woman. It is caused from a virus not light. Speak to your doctor for the best medicine to treat the outbreaks.
The outbreaks last for life , good luck.
If you really think the sun bed is burning your lips then stop going to the sun bed!

Oh Ouch!!. Sounds like you have cold sores previously following sun bed use. Perhaps you should work on developing a good fake tan application technique and that may remove an obvious big trigger of attacks for you. As for cold sores disappearing quickly, tea tree oil is said to destroy many kinds of bugs and may also help to keep the sore soft and preventing it from cracking. If acyclovir (zovirax) does not suit you, visit the pharmacy and get another ointment particularly formulated for herpes. To minimise their spread, don't touch, rub or scratch the area and use fresh tissues all the time ( sure you do ). Thnk the blighters do take time to go though no matter what you do. Echinacea is said to boost the immune system, maybe this would help prevent regular attacks, worth a try. Really think your major preventative measure by the sound of your situation, is to stay away from sunbeds. you will get used to your " tan from a can" Fake is fab !!! Good luck and hope pout is perfect again soon !!!!.

There are two types of herpes simplex virus: HSV-1 and HSV-2. Both virus types can cause sores around the mouth (herpes labialis) and on the genitals (genital herpes). Cold sores are caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV).
Cold sores sometimes called fever blisters, are groups of small blisters on the lip and around the mouth. The skin around the blisters is often red, swollen, and sore. The blisters may break open, leak a clear fluid, and then scab over after a few days. They usually heal in several days to 2 weeks.
The herpes simplex virus usually enters the body through a break in the skin around or inside the mouth. It is usually spread when a person touches a cold sore or touches infected fluid—such as from sharing eating utensils or razors, kissing an infected person, or touching that person's saliva. A parent who has a cold sore often spreads the infection to his or her child in this way. Cold sores can also be spread to other areas of the body.
Luckly there is a cure for herpes https://tr.im/56743

Well, avoid sunlight and tanning beds. as it tends to cause them.
I take lysine You can find it at your local pharmacy in the vitamin section its all natural and you do not need a prescription. i take it 2-3 times a day. As for the first couple of days i keep it really dry and put rubbing alcohol on it several times a day to dry it out so the blisters will not form as quickly. once the blisters are no longer forming or getting any bigger neosporin helps keep the scaring down and if you get the neosporin + pain it help with the pain level too!
If you keep getting them try and figure out what triggers them. Sun light and tanning beds are most common but some foods or lip glosses or chap sticks can cause them too. You will only find it through trial and error every ones body is different and reacts different find what your triggers are and steer clear of them.

Hi Sara,
Go to your local chemist and ask for Compeed Cold Sore Patch. They are round plasters that cover and medicate at the same time. They are like actual skin although you cant see through them and they are totally invisible no matter how bad your cold sores are! They are fantastic.xx

Cold sores are awful and usually mean that your immune system is low. I get them from time to time. The only thing I can advise is that you leave the sun beds alone buy some Zovirax and let time heal them! That's all you can do!
