it still makes a sound but as you said that no1 is there to hear it so how can u say that a tree falls without sound and the scientific reason is that work done by a thing is realsed energy so wen a tree falls there will be sound cause the frequency of the air would be disturbed ok so it will make a sound
and another reason how will a tree fall on its own

It may be a brain teaser but didn't Mamma tell you that the world doesn't revolve around you? Stuff still happens when you're not around to witness it.

no. because sound is what we can hear. therefore if we cannot hear a tree fall in the woods it doesnt make a sound. This riddle is supposed to open the mind for meditation.

Well, I was thinking about Yes, but I just got confused!!! I mean, sound is spread in waves, and they are spread to your ears. But if your ears are not there to receive those waves, where does the sound go? I mean it's still sound, but it's lost in space when you are not here to hear it... Oh man, don't know how to explain that now......

No, because to have sound a receiver in part of making sound...with no one around their is no receiver to receive the sound waves. The tree makes no sound.

well, of course it does. Trees are big heavy things and with the help of gravity and wind,they fall over, crashing into the earth below.
Trees fall by themselves all the time.
