I know this is an unorthodox answer, when my now 26 year old daughter was small I put a lot of thought into teaching her. What is it that you want your daughter to learn? To go to sleep when you say? Or to go to sleep when she is tired? I chose the latter. Now I didn't change the family schedule for my little sweetie(this is the catch) so what i had was a sleep deprived baby for a few days-lol. I simply let her stay up as late as she wanted and then the next am I woke her up at the usual time and whenever she tried to go to sleep I would wake her up and say "oh no we dont have time for a nap now". It took about 2 days for that kid to be begging to go to bed-lol,. She learned that when a person is tired they should go to sleep. She has thanked me for this gift-lol. I also used this technique regarding eating. The now is the time for this but if you dont want to you dont have to but the next meal will be in so many hours. My daughter is a Taurus and a stubborn person always was and always will be but I won more than I lost. Good luck -k-

not sure of all your details and I am a dad with a 17 year old a 13 and I one year old, My second daughter the 13 year old when she was a baby I found out she was allergic to cows milk and we put her on goats milk your child if crying all the time I think is because of a dairy allergy. I have learned so much over the years, My I year old has never been on dairy and never will, Dairy causes more problems than it does good. Way overatted, My son has never had a rash on his butt and he sleeps 10-12 hrs a night, GO SEE A NATURALPATH DOCTOR

If your daughter didn't want to eat, would you take her for a ride in the car? No, you'd sit her in her highchair, give her a spoon to hold/bang, and start putting food in her mouth...even if she later spits it out. So, if you want to teach your daughter to go to sleep, stop distracting her with rocking, staying in the room, etc.
Do the nighty-night routine. Put her in her crib, give her a toy to hold/throw out of the crib, dim the lights, give her a kiss, and walk away. If she screams, let her scream for a good 15 minutes before you ever even think of going back into her room to tell her in a firm, no-nonsense voice that it is time to go to sleep. Yes, it is hard to do! But it is better to suffer for a few days while she learns how to go to sleep than to spend years of bedtime revolts.

What I do is I let my baby cry when he was that age... and that I know it will worry you that she keep crying and won't stop but trust me after say 10mitues if she still not stop... tell her off.. she do understand what yout elling her and then get out again... try it for a while and she will know when she is told she has to go to sleep then she has to without excuss... don't let her run you down...
the other thing is put her favorite toy with her and she will play with it until she get tired... and then hopefully she will fall asleep but the most important is ignore her when she cries all she want is your attention... and the less you give her, the better ...!

Just put her in her crib and leave her be. She will settle down on her own, if you walk away and don't take her out of the crib. Just make sure the rail is up and the mattress is at it's lowest.
