he isn;t much of a boyfriend if he is engaged to someone else and getting married. Tell her that you are sorry for her heartache...but something better will come along and she will forget all about him.

the best you can do is comfort your friend. try to be the rational voice in her head, telling her that it will be ok.
assure her that it might be better off that way. it would be really hard to explain things to her if she is still in shock. just make sure u r always there for her. coz u see, it also depends on the situation of y her bf is getting married; did he cheat on her? if thats the case then its better that she found out now than later because even if they continue their relationship the guy already cheated on her, that would make it easier for him to do it again.
but all in all, whatever the case might be. fate has a funny way of dealing with things. tell you friend that she has to let go. if one they are meant to be together then they will be together at the end.
