Easy if you know her that well. Frist and best way is the good old mail system. It allows both of you to be discreet and puts no presure on ether party. Also makes you look more thoughful because snail-mail takes a little extra time to complete. Second is always E-Mail or seeing her in person, but personally I've been in the above situation and if you can mail her do it, if not E-mail. Don't go seeing her in person to fast espacially after 3 years. You need her to warm up to the idea. Now stay away from trying to rekindle any old flames, thats just icyin on the cake. What your really after is just to open up the channels of communication, thats your cake. So try and explain what you've been up too. Maybe explain to her how much she has met to you and that your not trying to get a relationship with her, you just miss your old friend and would love to see how she has been doing. That way if she is currently in a relationship it shouldn't push her away none. Another thing is talk a little about some wisdom you've gain over the years or a bit of insight. Just try and keep it light and happy and ethusize on how your needing to talk to your old friend and downplay any intention you have for a relationship. I bring this up because its not about making a relationship its about communication and intentions. As long as your intentions are admirable, you'll open up the channels of communication, from there its up to you.
