im getting a tattoo in 2 weeks and mt bf coming with me as he wants to ask the tattooist some quetsions. he said he wants to pay for it should i let him or not coz if we break up i have a reminder of him on me forever

What sort of questions does he want to ask the tattooist? As for paying for the tat, tell him no, if you can afford it you pay for it.
My boyfriend paid for my first tattoo but that was because it was my 18th birthday present from him.

Baby girl, baby girl do not put that man's anything on your body to mark you. He is just your boyfriend, not your husband and even that is shaky. I wouldn't put anything that might be temporary on my body forever. Your family is permanent you can't break up with your family, but a bf can come and go. Please think about it I would hate for you to join the "I can't believe I got this fool tattooed on me" club. Who gives a darn about who pays? That is not the issue or question.

i can understand where you're coming from on this one, and the fact that this has reared its head tells you that you shouldnt let him pay for it, simple, what isnt so simple is how you explain this to your boyfriend without upsetting him. i feel the only thing you can do is say that you feel a little uncomfortable with him paying for something that you want and feel the next time you want something it will have set a precedent, its a tough one, i wish you luck

will you breakup? you know if you could spend the rest of you life with him. and from the question it sounds like NO.(just the fact that you are concerned is enough to doubt)
don't let him pay, and REALLY don't put any part of his name, or initials in the art either.

Well, first of all, you shouldn't let that bother you at all. If it does though, then perhaps you should pay for it!
You really should have a little more faith in relationships too - they don't all end in failure!

I would pay for it myself. Tattoos are a present to yourself, not something someone else gets for you, in my opinion.
