How many days do you have to be on a carrier (US NAVY) until you get a beer day?

I am in the NAVY by the way and please don't answer unless you know. I have been on two cruises so far and still haven't been out long enough without hitting port to have a beer day.

The US ships are mostly dry but after being deployed for so many continuous days without a port call we get a beer day.

It's 45 continuous days at sea.

It's 45 continuous days underway and you can't be within 5 days of pulling into a port once you go over 45.

And Navy ships aren't "Mostly Dry" they ARE dry. Officers and the Chief's mess can order non-alcoholic beer and other than that you get to wait for your beer day.

The consumption of alcohol on board U.S. Navy vessels was prohibited by General Order 99, effective 1 July 1914, issued by Secretary of the Navy Josephus Daniels on 1 June 1914.

US Navy ships are dry. No "beer day," sorry.

I heard it was after 45 days underway, but can't confirm it. I spent 4 years on a ship and the longest we were out was about 30 days.

A few days before you pull into a port. So your tollerence will be built up a little.
