If it's tiny red dots it is probably heat rash but if not it's probably dry skin rash. Heat rash has to run it's course but can be relieved with a light dusting of cornstarch and try to keep it cool.

Well without seeing the rash, this is a little hard to answer, you did not state if the rash is pin head like or flat or just blotchy, I can tell you though that you could be alergic to something and just think it is a heat rash, as some problems can imitate other conditions, there is however some help I can offer, you should keep your self cool and dry in the area of the rash, by using Cornstarch patted on the area and keep your face as cool as possible and you can also sponge your face with Baking Soda mixed in a little water, not like paste however, I'd say about a teaspoon to a small container of water, cool water please, you know something this is almost sounding like Contact Dermatitis, which is what I had once and for that I was treated with a prescription drug called Diprolene and was cured over a course of a weekend at the time this was many years ago, if this is what I am thinking now, it is very painful and you will want to visit your dermatologist for this, this is something you can not treat alone, you'd best go to the doctor , contact dermatitis is very itchy and red you look like a lobster with this problem if you have it.

It sounds a lot like a sunburn. If your skin is fair, your cheeks may easily burn. After a burn, surface skin dies, and can flake or peel. It can also itch. Wash your face with a very light exfoliant (either a scrubby pad or some cream with scrub-beads in it), and then pat it dry very carefully. While your skin is still shower-fresh, moisturize with lotion made for sensitive skin. If lotions don't normally break you out or irritate your skin, try using a lotion with a mild SPF in it. If nothing seems to help it after a few days or a week, go see your doctor, or a dermatologist. It may be rosacea, a condition that can turn cheeks bright red and cause them to burn or itch. Some general advice for keeping your skin in great shape, is to stay out of the sun. Suntans are cute, but they are not worth the lasting damage they cause to your skin. Don't stress out about your itchy cheeks, whatever the cause may be. Stress only makes things worse, especially your skin!

Do you use sun cream? If it has zinc or nickle in it you may be allergic?
I come out in a red blotchy, itchy rash if I sweat when I have sun screen on.
If it feels better when you put hot water on it, it sounds like the rash I get.

It might sound too simple, but try petroleum jelly. It has helped me cure dry, over-flaky skin.
