do people give compliments for no reason?

People will compliment you in life. It's very rude to not accept a compliment graciously. There is no reason for you not to accept is graciously like a normal person. If you arent able to do these things you need to find a professional person for yourself to open up to about your insecurities.

Yes people compliment others all the time with false statements. But the real question is, why do you think they are lying. From what it seems is you have a lack of self confidence. If you can't accept someones compliment you should work on your own self perception. Alot of times i myself feel inadequate about alot of things, and a persons compliment (true or false) is always accepted, and appreciated because i do try to understand that their "Opinion" is probably true in their eyes. Anyhow, keep your chin up, even most false compliments have atleast some truth to them.

Their are all types of people in this world. Sure their are people that give compliments for no reason, just say "Thank you" smile and think to yourself this person is a lying b------d, thats it . A big smile now.....

If someone says your beautiful or you look gorgeous to me(im a model and travel world)i HATE it im not lying i cant understand how any person can say that without even talking to me the best compliments are the ones that say your beautiful and your wonderful person thats really nice its true

Genuine compliments are given freely - no strings attached.
Compliments that are obviously fake (kinda like they're pulling your leg) come with a price. These may come from self-serving people who want to be in your good graces for dubious reasons. Just the same, thank them for the compliments and say something like "Thanks but I don't that's me you have in mind. That's just not me." Saying so makes it very clear to these people that you're not falling for their bs.

its hard to tell sometimes becos some people might just be giving out compliments to get favours, depends on how well u kno the person in order to judge how genuine the compliment is

Some people make insincere compliments if they want something from you or just to make fun of you..
you can see from their eyes whether they really mean it or not..

ghee...u have a problem...self confidence maybe...people just compliment when they feels like it..its not a crime....think positive..(even though they have ill meaning inside the compliments)-smile!
