Please avoid pills, in particular those advertised but not prescribed by your doctor.
Do you really need to lose weight? Check your BMI here ww.nhlbisupport.com/bmi/ . If you do, the best way is a sensible healthy diet combined with exercise. Crash dieting (starving yourself on an unrealistic or horrible diet, then losing motivation unsurprisingly and returning to your former weight), won't achieve anything long term and can damage your body.
Your practice nurse can probably advise on healthy eating. Small helpings, lots of vegetables, reducing the fat. Don't eat ready meals as they are full of fat and salt. Your nurse could tell you where the hidden fats are, you may not realise that you've got a bad diet. You can still eat really nice food though, you've just got to be careful.
Exercise is the most important for health - it's been shown that slightly fat people who are fit are healthier than some thinner people whodon't do any exercise. I understand that if you're big it can be scary to start exercise. You don't have to put the lycra on! Start by going for a half hour walk, at a speed sufficient to make you slightly breathless. It'd be great if you could do this every day but do it at least 4 times a week. Then progress to other sports when you feel more confident.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.
I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.
It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

I suggest that you try body cleansing. I tried it and really got lean quickly. I lost 15 pounds in 9 days and also 3 inches off my waist. I do body sculpting so getting leaner was my goal. My sister did this program too and she lost a lot of weight quickly. I did not know too much about cleansing but there are a lot of TV commercials about this stuff. This is a body cleanse and not just a colon cleanse, I wanted my body to get lean quickly and this did the trick! Reduced calorie diet is the best way to reduce your weight, that means you need to consume fewer calories than you need. It is better you consult a nutritionist or dietician to reduce your weight because a careless uptake of low calorie may lead to other problems for you.

If you're a sucker for the drug culture, then your solution is to consume toxic drugs to loose weight.
In reality there is one simple formula for weight loss.
Consume fewer calories than you burn.
Over time, you will loose weight. It's math. ;-)
