The California Minimum Wage is currently $7.50 per hour, It goes to $8.00 per hour January 1, 2008. States are allowed to set minimum wages higher than the Federal minimum wage, and say around half the states have done so. So Minimum Wage provisions are pretty much not applicable to you since you are already above the base level. The issue is whether California wages are generally higher than those in Kansas...and the good news is , yes they generally are. Pharm. Tech jobs , however, are really good training if you intend to go to Pharmacy school (and those guys make pretty big bucks). Plus I think Walgreens has a bunch of scholarship things in that field...If you are not going into Pharmacy or a related field then, I guess it's just another job....

Culver city is a very great place to stay, as long as you do no longer stay in or close to the Mar Vista Gardens Housing initiatives which has a Culver city mailing handle. something of Culver city is great. Downtown Culver city is very energetic, it has alot of espresso shops, eating places and film theaters. Culver city close to the Fox Hills Mall is o.k., quite often condos, the mall is getting a brilliant makeover so that's lots nicer then before. There are factors of Culver city that are very residential, all single-kinfolk residences and secure neighborhoods. Like Maliboo pronounced, that's in a very good area in l. a., no longer a techniques from the coastline, Downtown l. a., Hollywood, LAX or Beverly Hills. It has good public transit in maximum factors, the Expo Line prepare must be complete in a 12 months or 2 which will take you many of places. as a techniques because of the fact the highschool, i do no longer understand. there is in straight forward terms one and Culver city has that's very own college district seperate from LAUSD. good success!

Talk to your manager, and see if you can get a transfer to a California store. You are going to need to get a new license. California has the oddest licensing laws.
You will get paid more because of higher cost of living.

They might pay you due to your experience. I don't think a job like that would start off at minimum anyways.
