No risk to download Limewire. The risk is in what you then use Limewire to download.

High.
You give others direct access to your drive using this type of software, the odds for you being hacked or infected with a virus is extremely high.....
As far as downloading from there, I see many many people asking why there computer isnt working since they installed limewire, and they end up having to reinstall the operating system....losing all their files.....
Download at your own risk, make sure your running an antivirus software, and using a firewall, even then you are still at risk......

When my cable guy hooked up my internet I knew nothing ,and he said definately do NOT go to limewire it's a good way to get a virus. He said lots of people complain about it ! I don't care to download music anyway but I did pass the information to someone else who asked me about it a few days ago and they did not go there either ! Why risk it ?

From my experience with limewire, it seems to be OK if you just stick to downloading music. I wouldnt recommend downloading games or software. (maybe the occasional porn)...I didnt say that!
